2012 In BLOGGING – A Greetings From WordPress To MoneyCTL.com

WordPress Fireworks for Blogging in 2012Hi folks! Happy New Year (2013) to all the readers, commenters and silent visitors of MoneyCTL.

It was a chilly winter morning in a small town called Sambalpur. On 1st Jan 2013.

Sitting on the roof-top and enjoying the morning sun with cool breeze. A much needed 10 days break from blogging routine.

As usual, I was eagerly waiting for my blogging report from WordPress.com

The Annual Blogging Report by WordPress.com with collaboration with JetPack.me is very exciting. It’s for every WordPress bloggers. And this time it’s the 2nd Annual Report for bloggers from Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com.

Crunchy Numbers

More than the crunchy numbers and all the data; the way WordPress presents a blogger’s achievements and hard work is delightful. Each rocket represents a post published on this blog in 2012.

200,000 Views: There is a cute-little country in Europe called Liechtenstein. Every year, around 55,000 tourists visit this beautiful country.

And MoneyCTL was visited 200,000 times by online-tourists. If it were Liechtenstein, it would take about 4 years for that many people to see it. More number of visitors than a small country in Europe. Very funny!

262 New Posts: In 2012, total 262 articles were published, growing the total archive of this blog to 284 posts. I think an aspiring blogger’s dream number (Posts) is always 365.

Out of 262 articles, I’ve personally written 260. It’s just an Ok number.

Busiest Day: On September 13, this blog has witnessed 1,189 views. And the most popular post was – 20 Essential WordPress Plugins to Turbocharge your blog in 2012.

Most Viewed Posts on MoneyCTL:

1. 20 Essential WordPress Plugins to Turbocharge Your Blog in 2012. It attracted 105 comments.

2. Facebook Timeline: How to Disable. It attracted 98 comments and 268 Facebook likes.

3. 25 Best WordPress themes for FREE.

4. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 – Review of Features. With 173 comments.

5. How to Increase Page Rank – 18 Great Tips. With 146 comments.

194 Countries: Visitors have come from around the globe, with maximum visits from India, US and UK.

Most Active Commenters: Aliakbar Fakhri (45 comments), Vivek Kumar (33 comments), Sajid (32 comments) and Aseem (27 comments). Thank you all for supporting me all the way.

A blog is not a blog without comments. Commenters make a blog; not the blogger (founder).

Importance of Annual Blogging Report: History plays a great role in every success story. If you don’t look back and analyze you past achievements and mistakes, how can you step forward.

Your failures and mistakes prompt you to take necessary steps, and your success provides you the required strength to be a successful blogger.

Thanks WordPress, till the next report on Jan 1st, 2014.

  2. Hi Nandita,
It’s really nice to be in the list of top commentators. 200,000 views in a whole year are quite less compared to the finest content on your blog.
