India has successfully hosted WordCamp twice in the past.

 WordCamp India 2009 – The first ever WordCamp was organized in India on Feb 21-22, 2009  at Delhi. It was a 2 days conference for WordPress enthusiasts chaired by Mr. Matt Mullenweg, the founder of WordPress himself.

 WordCamp India 2011 – WordCamp was organized for the 2nd time for the WordPress lovers of  India on Oct 15-16, 2011 at Jabalpur with great enthusiasm.
